What is Board Certification? The designation of “Certified” is given to someone who has been interviewed or tested for his/her knowledge in a specific field. Today the most sought-after designation is “Board Certification,” though it can be difficult to find a reputable organization, association, or Society that has high standards. All the aforementioned groups have various criteria which are used to grant certification. Most educational institutions grant someone a certificate when the individual earns a diploma, bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree; this is not a board certification, since educational institutions teach and graduate students, but do not “certify” graduates. The accepted standard is that upon graduating from an educational institution, a graduate applies for the designation of “Certified” or more often the designation of “Board Certified.” This status only is a recognition from a qualified organization of your accomplishments in your field. The designation of “Board Certification” means nothing if a recipient of this title has a legal suit brought against them. “Board Certification” does not give any rights or benefits to a practitioner under State law, especially legalizing what a practitioner does and says.
*KCNH does NOT issue board certification. We only provide resources where you can obtain additional credentials.
